Additionally, we should teach students that Hashem gives us the gift of our parnasa (livelihood) so that we can direct it to those in need. By having the students control the flow of the paint to create a specific effect, they will comprehend how, just as Hashem gives us our parnasa, we emulate His middos by giving to the poor. The flow of parnasa is directed from Hashem to us to the poor, just as the flow of paint reaches all parts of the vase as they direct the paint.
